Social Appropriateness Banners

Another activity based on Michelle Garcia Winner's You are a Social Detective:

Create expected and unexpected signs. Break group in two and have one half act out an assigned scenario.

The second half can assess their social behavior by holding up signs indicating whether they are witnessing "expected" or "unexpected" behavior.  In individual therapy, the client could watch and consider preselected youtube videos or other social interactions.

Adapted material based on MGW's book and created by Karen Whisenhunt Saar, graduate of the Lamar University Speech-Langauge Pathology program.
